The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) isolation of Tibet risks huge environmental damage being carried out in secrecy.
With the Central Tibetan Autonomous Region largely closed off to outside access by the CCP, there is little transparency over what is happening on the ground. I raised concerns in Parliament that this could allow the Chinese authorities to undertake huge environmental destruction that has a massive global impact, without anyone being aware.
