Crack Down on Covert Filming

Women are being secretly filmed on nights out – often from low, suggestive angles when they are wearing skirts – with these videos then uploaded online, where they attract large volumes of misogynistic abuse and degrading comments.

Videos of this kind have been viewed more than 3 billion times. At present, they fall into a legal grey area between voyeurism and harassment laws, leaving the police with limited powers to act. I am calling on the government to strengthen the law to put an end to this. No woman should find herself plastered over the internet without her consent and subjected to such vile abuse.
